A Christmas Carol

by Charles Dickens

Adapted by Geoff Guy

Directed by:Geoff Guy
Production Dates:22 - 24 February 2007
Venue:Wheatpieces Community Centre

Description

This adaptation by Geoff Guy of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol uses much of Dickens text. It has all of the ghosts and involves both the adults and children from TADS.

It starts with the well-known Scrooge of "Bah! Humbug!" fame and shows how, with the help of the various ghosts, he transforms into a man who "will honour Christmas ... and try to keep it all year". It makes ingenous use of the space available by being performed in a hall rather than a more traditional stage and uses the cast to produce the sound effects where required.
